You will also get the chance to explore the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) which has transformed from an ambitious startup hub into a proven innovation engine—launching 21 companies, helping them raise over $10MM in investment and building high-profile partnerships. In just five years, CIE has delivered 52 programs, engaged hundreds of students—an outcome unmatched by most peer university centers. Its portfolio of active and graduated founders positions HU as a credible innovation destination.

Since its founding, CIE has nurtured over 350 ideas and supported high school grad student founders and are deeply committed to expanding opportunities for students to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. In fact, we’ve developed programs and pathways specifically designed to spark entrepreneurial thinking among high school students—including launchU, our very popular 'shark tank' competition for high schools and undergrad students to pitch their ideas and win money and a chance to build a business.
